Bioplastic interpretation

Bioplastics refers to plastics produced on the basis of natural substances such as starch and produced by microorganisms. It is a form of plastic extracted from renewable biological raw materials, including vegetable oil, corn starch, pea starch or other microorganisms. Group, rather than relying on plastics made from fossil fuels extracted from petroleum.

Some bioplastics are compostable, but not all. Adding starch or sugar to traditional petroleum plastics cannot be called bioplastics. Polylactic acid (PLA), starch-based polymers and polyhydroxyalkanoates (PHAs) are the three main types of bioplastic products.
