Under the condition of more and more fine pig raising, pig farmers attach great importance to the nutrition of feed. The pigs eat the mixed (mixed) feed mainly composed of corn, soybean meal and fishmeal. The increasingly “fine†feed diets have very low crude fiber content, which leads to “rich disease†such as digestive dysfunction and constipation, which affects the efficiency of pig raising. In fact, letting pigs eat “coarse†grains and maintaining a suitable crude fiber content in the diet is particularly effective in reducing the cost of raising and improving the performance of pigs.
Pigs have different ability to digest cellulose at different physiological stages. Appropriate proportions should be added to the diet according to the different physiological stages of the pig and its physiological characteristics. The crude fiber content of the diet in different physiological stages of pigs is recommended as follows: 6% to 8% for boars, 8% to 12% for pregnant and pregnant sows, 7% for lactating sows, 6.5% to 8% for reserved pigs, and weaned pigs 3 %~4%, fattening pigs 6%~7%.
