The majority of media oppose the commercial survey of genetically modified salmon.

Food Partner Network: Recently, the Washington Post organized a reader survey: “The U.S. Food and Drug Administration is considering the approval of genetically modified catfish for human consumption. This highly anticipated decision sparked debate over potential risks to consumers and the environment. If the commercialization of genetically modified salmon is approved by the FDA, will you buy it?"

For this survey, 17% of readers expressed support for genetically modified salmon, because we have already eaten transgenic crops such as corn and soybeans. In addition, less than 10% of people need to make further decisions after further studying their potential health and environmental hazards. The vast majority of people who achieved 78% refused because of the potential risk of genetically modified salmon.

Food Partner Network was informed that the US FDA will hold a public meeting on the commercialization of genetically modified carp from September 19th to 21st. If the product is used for food to win approval, it will be interviewed in about 3 years.
