The targeted addition of drugs to the feed should be targeted according to the breed, age and growth stage of the livestock and poultry being raised. Young, old and weak livestock and poultry should choose drugs with less sensitivity, lower toxicity and less dosage. The drugs added in the compound feed should be selected from antibacterial and anthelmintic drugs that are easily absorbed by the gastrointestinal tract. Penicillins and other drugs that are easily destroyed by the digestive juice should not be added.
It is necessary to identify the authenticity of the drug when it is purchased, not to buy a trademark, no manufacturer, no approval number and expired drugs. Moldy, spoiled, and odorous drugs cannot be used. Don't buy too much medicine at a time, it should be purchased and used now.
Attention to incompatibility In general, adding a drug can achieve the goal, do not use two drugs. If two or more drugs are used, attention should be paid to incompatibility. For example, pepsin cannot be used together with alkaline drugs, and antibiotic drugs should be used crosswise to prevent bacterial resistance.
The dose should be accurate. First, it should be determined whether the added drug is for prevention or treatment, and the dosage is determined according to the individual differences of the livestock and poultry. In general, preventive medication requires only half or even 1/4 of the medication. At the same time, some drugs with obvious drug residues, such as gram powder, should be banned to prevent future problems.
The proportion of the drug to be mixed in the feed is small. It is necessary to pre-mix a small amount to make it fully mix well to avoid excessive consumption of livestock and poultry and cause poisoning. The drug-added feed should be ready for use.
