Kitchen decoration hidden danger project can not be ignored

When it comes to hidden construction projects in kitchen renovation, the key areas include plumbing systems, electrical wiring, and the subfloor as well as the base of walls. These elements are critical because they are not visible after the work is completed, so proper execution is essential for long-term performance and safety.

For drainage systems, PP-R pipes should be installed with a logical layout, ensuring that both horizontal and vertical lines are properly aligned. It's important to keep these pipes away from electrical wiring, maintaining a minimum distance of at least 0.2 meters. Connections between the pipes and sanitary fixtures must be tight, and a water test should be conducted to ensure there’s no leakage. Any minor seepage is not acceptable and needs to be fixed before proceeding.

The floor’s drainage system must function efficiently. In bathrooms and kitchens, where water accumulation is common, the ground should have a slight slope—around 2%—to guide water toward the drain. However, the slope shouldn’t be too steep, as this could affect the floor’s appearance and increase the risk of slipping. A balance between functionality and aesthetics is crucial here.

Waterproofing is another vital aspect, especially in the kitchen and bathroom. The waterproof coating should be applied up to a height of 1.8 meters on the walls, while other rooms require it only up to 0.3 meters. This ensures that moisture doesn’t penetrate the walls or damage the structure over time.

PVC pipes used for electrical wiring must be properly installed without any kinks or bends. When making turns, a suitable bending tool or elbow should be used to avoid wrinkles or sharp angles that could damage the wires inside. This helps maintain the integrity of the electrical system and prevents potential hazards.

To protect the PVC pipes during construction, wooden boards can be placed on either side of the laid pipes, or cement mortar can be used to create a protective layer. This prevents accidental damage from workers walking over them. Additionally, strong and weak electrical lines should be kept at least 50 cm apart to reduce electromagnetic interference and enhance overall safety.

The foundation of the floor is also crucial. The original floor should be leveled with cement mortar, and in kitchens and bathrooms, a specific slope must be maintained. Proper preparation of the base ensures that the final flooring is stable, even, and free from issues like cracking or unevenness.
