The flowering and pod development stage is a critical period for soybean growth, during which the plant requires a significant amount of nutrients. However, at this time, the root system starts to age, reducing its ability to absorb nutrients from the soil. As a result, the efficiency of traditional soil fertilization is quite low. With large plant populations, it can be challenging to apply fertilizers through the soil. This makes foliar spraying an effective alternative. Foliar fertilization not only provides essential nutrients quickly, but also helps delay leaf aging, enhance pod formation, increase yield, and improve overall crop quality. It offers advantages such as fast nutrient absorption, lower application rates, higher efficiency, and ease of use.
The recommended method involves applying 150 to 200 grams of potassium dihydrogen phosphate, 20 to 30 grams of ammonium molybdate, and 75 to 100 grams of borax per acre, mixed with 50 kg of water for foliar spraying. Begin spraying during the pod-forming stage, once every 7 to 10 days, and apply up to two times in total. For medium and low-yield fields, it's advisable to start spraying at the early flowering stage. Each application should include 0.5 to 1.0 kg of urea to further boost plant nutrition and support healthy growth. This approach ensures that the plants receive the necessary nutrients at the right time, maximizing productivity and quality.
