Before 1980, the development of thermal insulation materials in China was very slow. Only a small number of thermal insulation materials factories could only produce a small amount of products such as expanded perlite insulation materials, which could not meet the needs of national construction in terms of product variety, specifications and quality. Compared with the advanced level in foreign countries, it is at least 30 years behind. For example, before 1980, there were only three companies in China, with an annual output of 8,000 cubic meters.
Since the reform and opening up, thermal insulation materials have made great progress, and have developed into a production and technical system of perlite insulation materials with relatively complete varieties and initial scale. In 1996, the national expanded perlite production was about 6 million cubic meters and about 450,000 tons.
The main gap between China's thermal insulation materials and industrial developed countries is: 1. The largest user of perlite thermal insulation materials in foreign countries is the construction industry, accounting for about 80% of production. However, the construction industry market in China has not been fully opened, and its application is only 10% of production. 2. The overall level and management level of the production process need to be further improved, and the product quality is not stable enough. 3. Insufficient investment in scientific research, application technology research and product development lag, especially the research and development of application technology of perlite insulation materials in construction has been slow for many years, seriously affecting the healthy development of the thermal insulation material industry.
It can be seen from the above that China's perlite insulation materials industry has undergone more than 30 years of hard work, especially after nearly 20 years of rapid development, many products from scratch, from single to diversified, quality from low to high, The formation of expanded perlite, perlite insulation board, vitrified micro-beads and other relatively complete industries, technology, production equipment level has also been greatly improved, some products have reached the international advanced level in the 1990s. However, due to the lateness of China's perlite insulation material industry and the low level of overall technology and equipment, the application technology in the construction field needs to be improved, which greatly affects the promotion and application of perlite insulation materials.
