In order to further enhance communication among new employees, foster a sense of team strength, and cultivate team spirit, the Zhengzhou Abrasives Grinding Research Institute organized a team-building event on July 9th. This activity was specifically designed for 23 new college graduates who had recently joined the organization. The event took place at Luxing Ecological Park, where the participants engaged in a one-day quality development training session.
The morning session began with an outdoor training exercise led by a professional trainer known as “Whirlwind.†He started with a brief military-style drill, which helped the new employees quickly form a neat and disciplined group within just half an hour. The trainees demonstrated a strong sense of discipline and enthusiasm throughout the session.
Next, the trainer divided the participants into three teams. Each team was tasked with selecting a captain (a male), a political commissar (a female), and creating a unique team name, slogan, song, and flag. Every member also came up with a fun and memorable nickname for themselves. During the presentation, all three teams proudly showcased their creations, shouting their slogans and singing their songs with great energy. The atmosphere was lively and inspiring, setting a positive tone for the rest of the day.
After lunch, the main part of the training commenced. One of the most engaging activities was called "Popularity," which emphasized trust and support between team members. Through this exercise, participants learned that mutual trust is essential for success. The team completed the task in just 0.58 seconds, far exceeding the target set by the trainer.
Another highlight was the "Trust Back" activity. As the trainees stood on a 1.4-meter platform, they were asked, "I'm ready, dear teammates, are you ready?" In response, the audience formed a human bed and shouted, "We're ready! Please believe us, we love you!" The participants then fell backward, safely caught by their teammates. This activity perfectly illustrated the importance of trust, commitment, and responsibility within a team.
The final challenge of the day was the classic "Climbing the Graduation Wall." Participants had to climb a 4-meter wall without any external assistance within 20 minutes. If they failed, the entire training would be considered unsuccessful. With teamwork and determination, the group quickly formed a ladder using their legs and shoulders. To everyone's surprise, they completed the task in just 5 minutes, achieving an outstanding result. Afterward, the participants embraced each other, expressing gratitude to those who supported them during the climb.
Throughout the day, the training incorporated various interactive methods such as role-playing, games, group discussions, and hands-on activities. These exercises emphasized participation, practicality, and relevance. From planning to execution, every team member contributed their ideas and efforts, working together to overcome challenges and push beyond their limits.
This team-building experience not only helped the participants relax and improve their physical fitness but also deepened their understanding of leadership, organization, communication, and teamwork. It reinforced the importance of collaboration and mutual support in achieving common goals. The event was a powerful reminder that when a team works together, there is no limit to what they can accomplish.
