In order to enhance communication among new employees, foster a strong sense of team spirit, and strengthen collaboration, the Zhengzhou Abrasives Grinding Research Institute organized an offsite training session for 23 new college graduates on July 9. The event took place at Luxing Ecological Park, where the participants engaged in a one-day quality development program designed to build unity and improve teamwork.
The morning session began with a brief "military-style" training led by the instructor, "Whirlwind." Within just half an hour, the group was well-organized, showing discipline and professionalism. Following this, the participants were divided into three teams. Each team had to choose a captain (male), a political commissar (female), and create a unique team name, slogan, song, and flag. Every member also came up with a fun and memorable nickname. During the presentation, all three teams proudly introduced themselves with enthusiasm, creating a lively and inspiring atmosphere.
After lunch, the real challenges began. In the "Popularity" activity, participants learned the importance of trust and support between teammates. Through this exercise, they realized that only by believing in each other could they achieve success. The team managed to complete the task in an impressive 0.58 seconds—far better than expected.
Next came the "Trust Back" activity. As the trainees stood on a 1.4-meter platform, they shouted, “I’m ready! Are you ready?†Their teammates below responded, “We’re ready! Please believe us, we love you!†Then, one by one, they fell backward, relying entirely on their teammates’ hands to catch them. This powerful moment highlighted the deep trust and commitment within the team.
The final challenge of the day was the "Climbing the Graduation Wall" activity. This classic team-building exercise required the entire group to climb a 4-meter wall in just 20 minutes without any external help. If they failed, the day’s training would end in disappointment. With determination and teamwork, the participants quickly formed a human ladder, using their legs and shoulders to lift each other up. To everyone's surprise, they completed the task in just five minutes, achieving an outstanding result. Afterward, the students embraced each other, expressing gratitude to those who helped them reach the top.
Throughout the day, the training used interactive scenarios, role-playing, games, and group discussions to make learning engaging and practical. From planning to execution, every step required teamwork, creativity, and perseverance. The participants not only strengthened their bonds but also gained a deeper understanding of leadership, communication, and the value of collaboration in achieving common goals.
This experience left a lasting impression on all involved, reinforcing the importance of unity, trust, and shared effort in both work and life.
