(2) Too much fertilizer, especially nitrogen-rich ones, can result in lush foliage but little to no flowers. On the other hand, under-fertilization can also prevent the plant from blooming properly. To achieve balanced growth and flowering, it’s best to apply a phosphorus and potassium-rich fertilizer during early spring or early autumn.
(3) Extreme temperatures can also affect geraniums. If the room temperature is above 20°C during winter and ventilation is poor, the plant may grow excessively, which can reduce flowering in the following season.
