According to foreign media CREAMER, Volt Resources, which has specialized in the development of flake graphite products, has signed a cooperation agreement with Qingdao Haida Graphite Co., Ltd., a leading Chinese graphite company, on the Bunyu graphite project in Tanzania. The agreement includes the establishment of technical cooperation between the two parties to test Bunyu's graphite samples, paving the way for future graphite purchases and sales.

At the beginning of this year, Qingdao Haida and Qingdao Tianshengda and another graphite mining company Triton Minerals reached an intention of more than 32,000 tons/year for Mozambique's Ancuabe graphite project, equivalent to 50% of the estimated production. In addition to the aforementioned Volt, Triton, and other graphite mining companies such as Hexagon, they have reached cooperation with Chinese buyers in recent years. In addition to Haida, Tianshengda, as well as Guangxing, Aoyu, and central state-owned enterprises, building materials have become buyers of these overseas graphite concentrates.
In addition to being used in traditional industries such as steel, metallurgy, and fire resistance, natural graphite has been widely used in military, aerospace, electronics, nuclear power and other fields as a strategic resource in recent years. In recent years, the global lithium battery industry has triggered a rapid increase in the demand for raw materials including natural graphite. For example, natural graphite has a certain cost advantage, and it has a more cyclical advantage in terms of power battery application than artificial graphite. This is also the root cause of Chinese companies buying and buying overseas graphite in recent years.
