Deep processing of mash can produce lactic acid and high protein feed

The American Agricultural Research Service (ARS) and the University of Wisconsin jointly researched a successful technology. With this technology, this green crop can be used to produce high-protein feeds of lactic acid and pigs and poultry. First, crush the mash, squeeze the juice, and obtain a high-protein feed from the juice. The remaining fibers (mostly cellulose and hemicellulose) are converted to sugars by enzymes, which are fermented with lactobacilli to produce lactic acid in a yield of about 60% of the dry weight of the fibers. Researchers also use cockroaches to enable pigs and poultry to get more phosphorus from their feed. ARS agricultural engineer Richard. Kegel pointed out that poultry can get phosphorus from grain feed, but usually only about 1/3 of the phosphorus in the grain can be used because phosphorus is bound to phytic acid. Researchers have used genetic engineering methods to introduce phytase into sputum, which has been used to release most of the phosphorus nutrients bound by plants. This research work is still in the laboratory test phase. Ja7 China Feed Industry Information Network - based on feed, serving animal husbandry
