How to properly maintain the rollers in a conveyor system: For light-duty applications, standard roller setups are sufficient. However, for heavy-duty operations or conveyor belts that require frequent starts, it is recommended to use chain or sprocket drives. In some cases, a dual sprocket drive system may be necessary, and couplings or bevel gears can also be used depending on the setup. The conveying roller is ideal for transporting items with flat bottoms and typically consists of components such as the conveyor drum, frame, brackets, and driving mechanism. It offers high conveying capacity, fast speed, and easy operation, allowing for multi-variety and parallel line conveyance.
Under normal operating conditions, the electric drum should be serviced once a year. Here’s how to perform the maintenance:
First, drain the lubricating oil from the drum through the oil drain hole located on the left end cover.
Second, disassemble the drum by removing the junction box on the left flange shaft end, along with the bolts securing the left end cap. Then, remove the right end cap bolt and the right bracket, and lift the right flange shaft using the lifting ring.
Third, thoroughly clean all internal parts and the inner walls of the drum.
Fourth, re-lubricate each bearing (including the six motor bearings) with a sufficient amount of calcium-sodium-based grease.
Fifth, replace the seals and Oil Seals on both the motor and the drum body. Ensure that the new seals are intact, smooth, and free from any irregularities like bumps, dents, or wrinkles. The material must be oil-resistant rubber to ensure long-lasting performance.
