Kraiburg TPE announced that thermoplastic elastomer composite specialist Kraiburg TPE will launch its new medical compound at the Pharmacpack exhibition in 2019.
Kraiburg TPE and Eastman collaborate to launch new medical compounds
The company's adhesion-optimized Thermolast M compound will be exhibited for the first time at the opening in February.
Kraiburg TPE has partnered with chemical company Eastman to develop new Thermolast M compounds in an effort to increase attention to medical applications and pharmaceutical packaging. High purity TPE can be directly adhered to special polymers used in medical applications. They can also be sterilized by standard treatments of ethylene oxide (ETO), gamma rays or electron radiation.
Oliver Kluge, manager of the Kraiburg TPE medical applications business unit, said: "We are expanding our product portfolio in the medical and pharmaceutical markets. To this end, we are working to develop new materials for innovative products."
