Aluminum alloy window overview

Aluminum alloy windows come in two main types: regular aluminum alloy doors and windows and thermal break aluminum alloy doors and windows. These windows are known for their attractive appearance, excellent sealing properties, and high durability, making them a popular choice in construction projects.

Thermal break aluminum windows are particularly common in home renovations where they're often used to enclose balconies. They offer superior insulation compared to traditional aluminum windows, which helps reduce energy costs by minimizing heat transfer.

Basic Definition:

English Name: Aluminium Windows

Definition: A window frame constructed from aluminum alloy building profiles, featuring a movable sash structure.

Development History:

In the late 1980s, aluminum alloy profiles began replacing steel windows. While this addressed some of the drawbacks of steel, aluminum's high thermal conductivity remained an issue. Both steel and early aluminum alloy windows had K-values exceeding 6.0 W/(m²·K), lacking effective solutions for sealing or insulation. Even when combined with insulating glass, the overall K-value could only drop to around 4.5 W/(m²·K).

By the mid-to-late 1990s, thermal break aluminum insulated windows emerged as premium products on the market. These featured high-strength insulating materials at the core of the profile design, along with advanced surface treatments like powder coating, fluorocarbon spraying, and resin hot stamping to provide diverse color options. Their standout benefits include lightweight construction, exceptional strength, superior water and air tightness, fire resistance, ample daylighting, resistance to atmospheric corrosion, extended lifespan, appealing aesthetics, and eco-friendly characteristics.

However, as living standards improved, people increasingly prioritized health, environmental sustainability, and energy efficiency. Traditional insulated aluminum windows and PVC windows fell short in terms of interior decor compatibility and modern aesthetic appeal. Additionally, they failed to fully align with national energy-saving regulations.
