PetroChina's annual natural gas production capacity reached 10 billion cubic meters in 2009 , an increase of nearly 50% year-on-year .
With the acceleration of '' going out '' in 2009 , the scale of overseas oil and gas operations of PetroChina has accelerated. CNPC, 13, said that as of December 2009, has been operating for 81 projects in 29 countries overseas. The scale of overseas operations continued to expand. The annual production capacity of crude oil reached 70 million tons, and the annual production capacity of natural gas reached 10 billion cubic meters, up 12.5% and nearly 50% respectively .
　　 In 2008 , CNPC's overseas crude oil operations reached 62.2 million tons and natural gas reached 6.7 billion cubic meters. This means that in 2009 , PetroChina's overseas crude oil production increased by 7.8 million tons, and natural gas increased by 3.3 billion cubic meters, becoming the fastest growing year for overseas oil and gas operations in recent years.
Affected by the financial crisis, PetroChina's overseas development achieved a major breakthrough through a series of mergers and acquisitions and cooperation last year. April 2009, the acquisition of oil and gas companies in Kazakhstan Mange Shi sets, further expanding cooperation in the oil and gas business in Central Asia. May 2009, the acquisition of one of Singapore's three major oil refineries in Singapore Petroleum (SPC) 45.5% of the shares. June 2009, PetroChina and BP jointly won the bid for Iraq's largest Rumaila oil field development project, the China Petroleum became the first batch of 30 years into the Iraq oil technology services market for foreign companies.
PetroChina said that the overseas business has formed five major oil and gas cooperation zones in Africa, Central Asia - Russia, South America, the Middle East and Asia-Pacific.
